Anti-plagiarism control and APD System

The diploma student enters the thesis data and the thesis file (and possibly files with attachments to the thesis) into the APD (Archive of Diploma Theses) on his/her own according to the instructions (APD - student instructions).

The diploma student completes the thesis data in the APD system, i.e.:

abstract (max 4000 characters) in Polish and English,

keywords (max. 1000 characters) in Polish and English,

and approves a statement that the printed version of the diploma thesis is consistent with the version saved on an electronic carrier (CD/DVD)and entered into the APD system, and that the thesis is independent.

Then, he/she attaches:

file type: Thesis - this type of file is the main required file subject to examination by the anti-plagiarism system and, after the defence, deposited in the National Repository of Written Theses; the thesis is entered as a single PDF file named: W03_index number_type of thesis (e.g. W03_697132_engineering thesis);

file type: Other - this type of file is not subject to examination with the anti-plagiarism system and is used for appendices; appendices (containing e.g.: index cards, drawings, reports from calculation programs) are entered in the form of files named: W03_index number_type of work_number of appendix (e.g. W03_697132_engineering thesis_appendix 1).

Once the thesis file (and possibly the attachment files) has been entered, the diploma student submits the thesis for approval by the supervisor (promoter).

If the thesis is referred by the supervisor (promoter) for improvement, the thesis self-statement must be approved once more before the files are uploaded again.

If the supervisor (promoter) approves the entered version of the thesis, a message appears in the APD system that the thesis has been referred for anti-plagiarism analysis.
