Faculty of Chemistry

The Faculty of Chemistry is a place of education for professionals in five disciplines that enable our graduates to find themselves in the global economy and labor market. This is possible thanks to the extensive research and development activities carried out by our experienced employees. It allows us to set new paths for teaching and preparing our graduates for changing market conditions.

The Faculty of Chemistry is a variety of research topics. In several Research Departments, basic research is carried out including the chemistry and technology of inorganic products (including agriculture), polymeric chemistry and technology, surfactant chemistry, chemical metallurgy, fuel technology and environmental technologies. Research in biochemistry, microbiology, physical and theoretical chemistry, and chemical informatics are also being conducted. The research is aimed at the needs of the industry as well as other areas of the economy using chemical technologies.

The Faculty of Chemistry of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology is:

  •      Department of rich tradition,

  •      Three-level teaching system; engineering studies, master's studies and doctoral studies,
  •      European Credit Transfer System,
  •      Euromaster and Eurobachelor degree,
  •      Student internships,
  •      New specialties introduced in line with the needs of the European Union market (pharmaceutical biotechnology and bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry),
  •      Research focused on the needs of the economy and the labor market,
  •      Active co-operation with scientific foreign institutions,
  •      Participation in joint diploma programs (NYSA, MONABIPHOT, Chemical Nano-Engineering),
  •      Participation in international student exchange programs (LLP / Erasmus, Erasmus-Mundus, Leonardo da Vinci).

Teaching

  The Faculty of Chemistry educates in five fields:

  •      Biotechnology,
  •      Chemistry and Industrial Analytics,
  •      Chemical and Process Engineering,
  •      Chemical Technology,
  •      Material Engineering,

    in first-cycle engineering studies and master's degree studies.
