In recent years, there has been growing understanding of the importance of student-centred learning and professional development of academic teachers. Benefits of academic tutoring in higher education both for capable and special needs students as well as academic teachers seem invaluable. We welcome papers addressing practical application and interdisciplinary dimensions of academic tutoring in the following areas (but are not limited to):

Plenary lecture: Perspectives on tutoring.

This interactive session will include a discussion about tutoring in general in the UK and specifically at UCL. The debate will draw on theoretical models and practical examples of tutoring at UCL.  The session will consider tutoring from both the tutor and the student perspective, drawing on feedback from students at Polish universities who have experienced tutoring as part of the Master of Didactics project.
