Zainteresowania naukowe

Agnieszka has obtained her BSc (1997) and PhD (2002) in Bioinorganic Chemistry from Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST), Poland. Her PhD focused on the synthesis, spectroscopic properties and structure of metal ion complexes with chromate(VI) anions. Currently, she works as a researcher in the Naonobiophotonics group as a professor in the Institute of Advanced Materials at WUST. She is a member of the Chemistry Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2020-2023 term). Agnieszka is a laureate of the TOP500 Innovators programme of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2013) and a beneficiary of the Skill programme of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP, 2014). She has completed scientific internships, among others, at University of California at Berkeley (USA, 2013), Umeå University (Sweden, 2012, 2015) or The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education (Great Britain, 2010) and she is also a certified trainer of the 2nd degree ''Training of Trainers - learning to teach others - advance level'' (2009).
To date, she has published over 60 scientific papers in journals such as Inorganic Chemistry, RSC Advances, Chemico-Biological Interactions, Applied Organometallic Chemistry, New Journal of Chemistry and others. She also hold over 20 patents. Current research interests include bioinorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, complexes, crystal structure, spectroscopy (FT-IR, Raman, NIR-VIS-UV, EPR, HF-EPR), potentiometry, magnetic, thermal stability, antimicrobial activity, cytotoxic and antiproliferative potential.
